FSU getting a new DE?

USC granted JC transfer Glen Stanley his release. All indications are he will enroll at FSU and will be eligible for the upcoming 2010 season. He adds major depth at the DE position and he was also a 4 Star out of the JC ranks. He is not a savior but a solid player.

Pre-Season All ACC Team

Only two MAJOR issues.....NO GREG REID as the SP and why didn't FSU get S DeAndre McDaniel, Clemson (48) 6-1 215 Senior Tallahassee, Fla.

The Fisher Effect!

Fisher was asked why he brought Everett Dawkins instead of a more known Defensive Player to the ACC Media Days. Jimbo's response;

"I just thought Everett exemplifies what we're trying to build in this organization," Fisher said. "He has character, he has quality, he's worked himself on the field, he's doing good in the classroom. He carries himself well. He represents himself, his family, and our organization very well."

Bad News!

Arrest #2 in the Jimbo Fisher Era is projected starting OLB Nigel Carr. He apparently stole a Credit Card and used an ID of another person without consent. He has no record and these are low felony charges. This is one of those "shake your Head" moments because things like this are just so stupid especially when all the eyes are on you anyway.

Expect Carr to be suspended per School policy for a felony arrest. For his sake I hope he can resolve this ASAP. The season is close. Mister Alexander who has been a bright spot on defense this spring looks like the likely starter now.
