ESPN Outside the Lines (OTL)

Sunday morning ESPN aired an OTL report on academic standards for admissions and focused on Florida State. This still stems from the academic fraud case where several student athletes were caught cheating on an on-line course. All students were disciplined and the University took appropriate actions.

Brenda Monk, a former employee of the university who resigned and is suing the university and who is appealing a finding by the NCAA that she was guilty of academic fraud and unethical conduct is a primary source for this ESPN OTL topic.

I actually find this a little funny. This show is telling recruits that Florida State will help you get in school to play sports. Ouch! Thank you ESPN for letting all these great athletes know that FSU will give opportunities.

You are welcome ESPN for Florida State and Miami to change their football schedule and play on Monday Night (Labor Day) even though they did not want too and it gave you the 3rd highest rating for any college football game that ESPN ever aired in their history.
