I happen to really like this hire. If I had my choice I think I still would have liked Kirby Smart but rumor is he is headed to his Alma mater Georgia. The Stoops brothers know defense and he knows a little about South Florida from his time at Miami and USF. He is young and energetic and has defensive coordinator experience.
Great hire by Jimbo here, especially when you consider that Florida and Notre Dame are looking as well.
